The Hybrid Solid Fuel Boiler integrates a membrane or fixed waterwall furnace with a steam generating firetube section. The Hybrid Boiler maximizes heat transfer through the extensive radiant and convective heating surface combining watertube and firetube steam generation.
Hybrid boilers are best utilized when a bi-product is readily available as an alternate fuel (wood, manure, biomass, coal, etc.). Hybrid boiler installations offer economic benefits in addtion to the fuel savings such as disposal fees, tax incentives, environmental implications, etc.
Typical industries include manufacturing and processing facilities, pulp and paper, saw mills, universities, hospitals, greenhouses and ethanol plants.
